Tanah Lot is a tourist attraction in Bali. Here there are two temples are situated over a large rock. One is located above the boulder, and was located above the cliffs similar to Uluwatu temple. Pura Tanah Lot was built by a Brahmin from East Java named Danghyang Niratha who managed to strengthen the belief of the Balinese Hindu teachings century -16. At that time the ruler of land Lot, Bendesa Beraben envied him because of his followers turned to Danghyang Niratha. Bendesa Beraben expel Danghyang Niratha to leave Tanah Lot.

The brahman wise agreed, but before leaving Tanah Lot, with the power yoga boulder he moved to the middle of the beach and build a temple there. He also changed the shawl into a snake temple guards. This snake is still there today and scientifically snakes including sea snakes that have a characteristic flat tail like a fish, striped yellow and black color are three times more powerful venom of cobra snakes. the end of this story mentions that Bendesa Beraben became followers Danghyang Niratha.

Not everyone is allowed to enter the temple. the traveler is only allowed to see from under the temple. Only certain people who want to pray or conduct religious activities are allowed to enter the temple. This temple is located in the village Beraben, about 13 km south seelatan Tabanan, or 43 km from Kuta
