Bali Legian Dance

Bali legian Society can not be separated from the dance. Almost every religious activity, always accompanied by dance. For the people of Bali legian, dance is an offering as they bring offerings. Broadly speaking, Balinese dance can be categorized into three groups: the dance wali (sacred dance), dance bebali (dance performances for the ceremony), and balih-balihan dance (dance for entertainment) Dance belonging to the guardian include Berutuk, Sang hyang dedari, rejang, and big lines. Bebali belonging among others Gambuh, pajegang mask, and wayang wong. while dance-balihan balih include Legong, Parwa, Arja, Prembon and dancing, and various other modern dance choreography.
Legong Dance.
Legong dance is a classical Balinese dance repertoire that has a very complex movement. These movements are tied to the structure of percussion accompaniment premises are said to be the influence of dance gambuh. Legong word comes from the word "leg" which means flexible or elastic and graceful. In the process, developing into legong legong palace. this dance is performed by two girls or more by presenting skewed figures as the opening dance. In other situations legong dance performed one or two pairs of dancers without displaying the figure leaning first.Characteristic of this dance is the use of fan legong the dancers.
